At this time we do not offer free samples unless they are a part of a current promotion. This ensures that we are able to keep our pricing competitive.

Because we use high quality natural ingredients many of our products do contain nut derivatives such as shea butter, cocoa butter, and sweet almond oil. We ask that you check the ingredients for each of our products on the product detail page.

With the exception of Heal & Grow (Original, Coconut, & Karanja) all of our products are vegan friendly and can be used with confidence by those whose lifestyle requires that they avoid animal additives. This includes our Heal & Grow - Argan. Our other Heal & Grow blends do contain humanely sourced Emu oil for increased efficacy.

It is our goal to make our products as healthful and harmless to the whole person as possible.  That's why in 2017 we made it our goal to remove any harsh additives from our line.  As a result most of our products are and by the end of 2018 all of our products will be free of the following:

Due to the impact of COVID19 the USPS is experiencing unprecedented delays in shipping deliveries.  Please allow extra time for your delivery to reach you.  When available we will ship your package using another carrier such as Fedex or UPS.  This is at our discretion.

Please do allow 3 business days for production and shipping. You will be notified via email with shipping and tracking # when your product is complete and has been placed in the mail.

All items are shipped through the US Postal Service or Fedex. Expected delivery is 3-7 business days from shipping notification. You may select First Class (Parcel Post) or Priority Mail. We are not responsible for delays incurred by the shipping carrier. In the unfortunate event that your package is lost or delayed by the carrier, it is the customer's responsibility to file a claim and/or tracking investigation with the carrier.  Once a package is shipped Makeba is no longer responsible for the package.

Once an order has been finalized we are not able to make changes or additions.

We ship all around the world using the US Postal Service International. USPS shipping via Airmail Parcel is the standard overseas method (4-10 days). Tariffs and customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Once an order has been finalized we are not able to make changes or additions.

Due to COVID19 health and safety recommendations, as a safety precaution, we have suspended all product returns or post shipment exchanges for the foreseeable future.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but our staff safety is of utmost importance.

It is our hope that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. Due to the nature of our products, we can only accept refunds or exchanges on unused and unopened product within 3 days of your receipt.

In the unfortunate event of a return, Buyer pays shipping on returns/exchanges unless defective.

Please follow these guidelines for successful return or exchange:

Email us at hello@lovemakeba.com no later than 3 days after you have taken delivery of the item (delivery dates are tracked for convenience).

The item MUST be returned in its NEW original condition – any discrepancies will immediately void the return or exchange (discrepancies include but are not limited to: cigarette smoke; perfume; or other smells, deodorant residue, or stains).

Simply rewrap the item in its original packaging and request via email a return authorization.

For returns please mail your product with a copy of the emailed return authorization to: 3212 W. 85th St. INGLEWOOD California US 90303 in damage proof packaging. Broken bottles/packages will void your return. Once received, we will notify you via email and either issue a refund or ship your exchanged products.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

In accordance with the interstate laws we may charge sales tax on your order were applicable. In the state of California we charge the State Sales Tax plus any applicable City Sales Tax for all orders shipped to the state of California. We do not charge tax on shipping unless required.
